Secretary Hilda Solis Owes Congressman John Tierney an Apology
Former Congresswoman took credit for Tierney's Green Jobs Bill
Salem, MA — Yesterday, while interviewing with Adam Reilly at WGBH, Congressman John Tierney reiterated that he wrote the 2007 Green Jobs Act in its entirety. The Green Jobs Act is listed as an accomplishment in Secretary Solis' official biography, and The Wall Street Journal hailed it her "signature legislative achievement."
"It sounds like Secretary Solis owes Congressman Tierney an apology for taking credit for his bill," said Carrie Rankin, communications director for Seth Moulton for Congress. "Either the Congressman is incredibly selfless for allowing Secretary Solis to claim credit for a bill he authored, or he's not being completely honest with the electorate about his legislative record."
