As Moulton Gains Momentum, Tierney Ducks Debates

Moulton: "I will debate the Congressman anytime, anywhere."

Salem, MA – With six days to go in the campaign, Congressman John Tierney is dodging debates. Last week, he arrived at a candidate forum at Brooksby Village in Peabody 45 minutes late; on Tuesday he skipped a debate with WBZ radio and he's also dodged debate requests from Boston Herald Radio, and The City's Voice, a Lynn-based cable television program based.

"Massachusetts families deserve better than a Congressman who ducks and hides," said Moulton. "We deserve a representative who values transparency and is always willing to tell us where he stands on the issues. I will debate Congressman Tierney anytime, anywhere. And when I'm in Congress, I will always be honest with members of this community about my record."
