In difficult times, great Presidents lead with messages and actions of unity and vision. Today we honor that legacy of our forefathers who put nation before party:
America faces great challenges, yet we feel more and more divided. Since we do not have a President animated by unity and vision toward a better tomorrow, each of us has an obligation to stand up, serve, and help make the America we want a reality.
In the spirit of the Presidents whom we commemorate today, let us overcome those divisions and rededicate ourselves to the nation we share.
I ask that you support my efforts to restore unity and bipartisanship in Washington to build a brighter future together, and stay involved!
