We are fortunate in Massachusetts to have an abundance of great candidates running for statewide office.
Three excellent candidates for Governor made the primary ballot, as well as three candidates for Lieutenant Governor, two candidates for Attorney General, and three candidates for Treasurer. However, I was disappointed that three candidates did not make the ballot, particularly Juliette Kayyem. As the youngest candidate in the race by 16 years and a fellow first-time candidate, Juliette did much to inspire young activists and encourage new voices to join the political debate. While I am confident we will enter the general election with strong candidates up and down the ballot, Juliette’s voice and bold ideas will be missed.
